Gotcha Day #5 / Surgery Day

June 2004
Toot in the tub shortly after coming home from China

Cutie Tootie and Pretty in pink Today was the 5th anniversary of the day this precious girl has first placed in my arms!!

Our lives have been transformed. We can't even imagine our world without her in it.

One of my favorite words to describe her is "Quirky". Some days she is a cowboy. Some days she is a dog. Some days she is a super model. All days she is a joy!!!!

Toot wanted "waffles with a candle in it" for breakfast
After she came home from school she wanted to go to Walmart and out for lunch.
For her special gift she chose a new cowboy hat and a Mickey Mouse cell phone.
She is the cutese cowgirl in the whole state of Minnesota!!!!!
And now for surgery Day
This was an exciting day for Bebo (or at least is started out that way).
Today he had his lip revision surgery done. He has been looking forward to this for some time. In China he was told over and over again how ugly he was because of his lip. When we told him it was going to be fixed he didn't believe us. He would say "In China they say can't fix!" to which I would say "Well, in America we say , Yes it can!" He was so excited last night that he had a hard time falling asleep. This is a picture of him taken before he left for the hospital. Why would anyone tell this handsome boy he was ugly???????????????????????????
And this is a picture of him after he came home. He looks a little like he was hit by a truck!! He's not so sure yet if it was worth it. I can already tell a difference even with all the swelling.
Hang in there Bebo!!
